First Year Directions (FYD 101) is a one-hour seminar class that builds on the fundamentals you learned on your Road to UM. By the end of the semester, you'll have the skills and awareness to successfully transition into our academic community.

’Canes Complete helps students who are close to graduating attain their degree after withdrawing from UM. We help you overcome the unique challenges that come with college readmission.

Your goal is to do well academically, make the most of your time at the University, and become a UM graduate. Our goal is to help you make that a reality. The 'Cane Success Center provides undergraduate students with the individualized help and support needed to reach their goal of graduation—from before setting foot on campus until the last exam.

Our team provides a personalized and holistic onboarding program, a first-year seminar course, and support through year one for all incoming students.

Continuing Student Programs

Current ’Canes come to us for one-on-one guidance if they have any personal, financial, academic, social, or health-related challenges that may interfere with completing their UM degree.

Graduation Assistance Programs

We work with students who are close to graduating to overcome the unique challenges that come with college readmission and help them attain their degree from the University of Miami.
