Engage in a Network of Support

Advising comes in various forms, whether it be course scheduling, meeting with your assigned academic advisor, working with supplemental advisors such as career advisors, advisors in the residential colleges, an advisor supporting underrepresented students and first-generation students, or even specialty advisors such as pre-health or pre-law advising, as a few examples. Take advantage of the vast number of resources on campus provided to support you.

  • Assigned academic advisors - Serve as your primary academic resource to provide guidance to you as you develop your educational goals. Your assigned academic advisors are also the advisors you meet with to schedule your courses prior to registration.
  • Supplemental & specialty advisors - Serve as additional layers of support, and in some cases, the specialist on a certain topic, like applying medical school, or example.  Supplemental and specialty advisors come in different aspects and are there for additional access and convenience.
